Thirsty Paw is a free, ad-supported puzzle game. This page explains what data is involved when you play it.
The short version
The app has no accounts, no login, and no servers of its own. It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, or any other personal detail. Your game progress stays on your device.
The one exception is advertising: the app shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects data in order to serve them.
What stays on your device
Your progress — which levels you have unlocked, your star ratings, your language and your sound preference — is stored locally using the operating system's standard app storage. It is never transmitted anywhere, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app displays ads supplied by Google AdMob. To do this, Google may collect and process:
- a device advertising identifier (the Advertising ID on Android, the IDFA on iOS) where you have permitted it;
- general device information, such as device model, operating system version, and language;
- approximate, non-precise location inferred from your IP address;
- data about ad interactions, such as which ads were shown and whether they were tapped.
This is used to select ads, limit how often the same ad is repeated, and measure ad performance and fraud. Google's own handling of this data is governed by its policies: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from partner sites and apps.
The app itself does not receive, store, or transmit this advertising data. It does not build a profile of you, and it shares data with no other advertising network or analytics provider.
Your choices about ads
In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the app shows a consent form on first launch, provided through Google's User Messaging Platform, asking whether you agree to personalised advertising. You can change your answer at any time from Settings → Ad privacy inside the app. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalised.
On iOS, the app additionally asks for permission to track you using Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, the app will not access your device's advertising identifier, and you will see non-personalised ads. You can change this later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published at this address with a new "last updated" date.
